The Uses Of Apple Cider Vinegar

As already mentioned, apple cider vinegar has a potent supply of potassium, which has become so widely acclaimed in helping various complaints including: running nose, excessive mucous formation, watery eyes, sinus and catarrhal troubles. Teeth decay and the splitting of fingernails are also signs of potassium deficiency which are remedied by taking cider vinegar.

Potassium is essential for the normal growth of the body and for the replacement of damaged and worn out tissues, which depend upon this mineral. It is as important to the soft tissues, as calcium is to the bones and teeth and it also retards the hardening of the blood vessels.

Among other problems, a deficiency of potassium can contribute to callous formations on the soles of the feet, or it can affect har loss.

Tests have shown that a soil deficient in potassium will produce anemic and undersized plants, however, when it is introduced into the soil the plant becomes sturdier and increases in height.

Where potassium, in the form of cider vinegar, was fed to livestock, it improved their condition and stamina. Humans too, can benefit with this increased potassium intake. Especially where children are slow developers and growth is affected. A few teaspoons of cider vinegar in a glass of water each morning will show fantastic results.

The best way to introduce cider vinegar into a healthy eating habit ifor the family, is to substitute it for malt vinegar as well as using it as a cooking ingredient. A an aside, parents will be pleased to know that potassium has a calming influence on lively children.

A number of research papers show that there is a massive health benefit of apple cider vinegar on numerous complaints ranging from obesity to arthritis. Besides the therapeutic benefits from taking cider vinegar therapy can also be used for a number of other culnary purposes e.g. salad dressing, pickling, a flavor in cooking etc. It also makes a very refreshing drink, hot or cold and honey can be added to sweeten the drink. Please note that this drink should be taken instead of the normal, habit forming tea and coffee which contain unhealthy toxins.

Try using cider vinegar where lemon juice is required e.g. in making mayonnaise, or just sprinkle some on a salad before serving; sprinkle on pawpaw for a refreshing breakfast, or just use on potato chips!
